Ardin Riley: Hmm, a sing along? There's an idea
Rozz Khephra: And I ... will listen!
] Avrora: No you will particpate legionarre
Jacinda: *grins into her glass before taking another sip*
Skrael: No, no, no... If you're in a tavern you must join in... It's tradition.
Avrora: we all will add a line
Rozz Khephra: I don't take orders from dragons..
Avrora: aye the satyr speaks true
Rozz Khephra: Well...
Dumah Lodhrain: "If I remember correctly, Satyrs make wine."
Jacinda: The definitely drink it.
Avrora: *nods to Dumah
Avrora: *waits until all seated
]Dumah Lodhrain: "Ale is a product of farmed cereal ... Satyrs most easily find grapes to turn into wine."
Ardin Riley: *peels and begins nibbling on a boiled egg*
Skrael: Oh, they do... Mead is bomething with smerries... *Hiccups.*
Dumah Lodhrain: "Mead is not ale", he smirks.
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: Let me purchase myself some libations, and we can start, yes?
Avrora: *nods*
Skrael: No, but if you drink it like ale... You get pished...
Crow: Welcome to the Rusty Anchor, my good mistress.
Avrora: No dumah the next song you will be apart of *chuckles*
Skrael: *Nods in approval to his words.* Also... Mead is sweet and I need something sweet to get rid of the bitter air...
Skrael: These, are dragon beers... Not sure what they're like but hopefully sweet...
Avrora: Ready?
Ardin Riley: *nods nervously*
Dumah Lodhrain: "Oh dear ... "
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: *snickers*
Dumah Lodhrain: "This should be interesting", he sips from his cup of wine.
Avrora: *smiles*
Avrora: A swaggering man in tin came to town banging his chest and acting the clown....
Avrora: *looks to kali*
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: *lightly plays an accompanyment to Avrora, fingers dancing over the strings softly*
Ardin Riley: *turns to Kali*
Skrael: *Looks up to the guard with a jolly grin, then back to the others of the table.*
Kali: *sighs, takes a small drink*
Rozz Khephra: Hooray!
Kali: *looks to Avrora, pondering her words a moment*
Jacinda: *chuckles*
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: *pauses, waiting for Kali to speak*
Avrora: Your turn soon legionnare after jacinda it is kalis turn
Dumah Lodhrain: He swirls his cup of wine, brow half-lifted. A spark of mirth dances in his eyes, though it touches his features but lightly, subtly.
Avrora: *smiles at Kali*
Rozz Khephra: Who put her in charge?
Kali: waving and shaking his clout about. *looks to Jaci*
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: *pays softly along to accompany the story*
Jacinda: *nibbles on her lower lip as she thinks*
Kali: *takes a slow drink*
Kali: *still turned to Jaci... waiting*
Jacinda: The ladies hurried to see when they did hear, smiles on their faces from ear to ear.
Avrora: *looks to Rozz*\
Ardin Riley: *eyes move up*

Rozz Khephra: *with a serious expression, voice lifting up* I'm a soldier, not a bard. This game is rigged.. this song is hard.
Jacinda: *chuckles*
Kali: *looks back to Rozz briefly, she then returns back to her bottle tilting*
Avrora: *grins* *looks to Aria*
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: *thoughtfully strums*
[Skrael: *Raises the tankard to his lips, downing it but stopping halfway with a grim expression, lowering the tankard to the table.*
Dumah Lodhrain: He chuckles at Rozz's touch, whirling his wine as he sips
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: He cried as the ladies approached, wary and full of bluster.
Kali: *judges the distance between her and Skrael... slides over just a bit towards Avrora*
Avrora: *smiles* Lookd to Dumah*
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: *she looks to Dumah with a grin*
Dumah Lodhrain: "Then at the sight of hag a fright did no one run the faster."
Avrora: *smirks* *looks to Skrael*
Dumah Lodhrain: He lifts his cup, grinning.
Skrael: *Raises the half empty tankard and downs the rest.*
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: *she pauses in her playing to take a swallow of her own drink, grinning*
Avrora: *looks to Skreal*
Ardin Riley: *taps his chin, watching Skrael intently*
Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: Skrael. It's your turn to add to the story.
Kali: *watches to see if he's gonna lose his drink...*
Skrael: Oh... *Grumbles in thought.*
Rozz Khephra: Aria usurped Avrora, and is now calling the shots.
[CHAT WINDOW TEXT] [Tue Feb 21 19:36:27] Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched: *chuckles*
Ardin Riley: *smirks and blurts out his line, as though he'd been choking on it*Then the hag became a beautiful dame, and said the man was truly lame
Jacinda: *chuckles*
Avrora: *chuckles*
Rozz Khephra: Well done.
Ardin Riley: Well, that was good fun
Avrora: *grins*

Account: Dyskordia
Characters: Bara and Aria 'Nightingale' Feytouched

Problem Description - The two characters aforementioned are stuck in a limbo between transitions. Having crashed during transitioning, neither can appear on the other side of the transition, with a crash occurring about 3/4 of the area load-up.

Steps to Recreate - Both characters mentioned above are locked in the same situation within one day's worth of time. Relogging does not help, nor does computer reboot. Logging in with other accounts not compromised, only the use of those characters. The error seems to occur due to crashing during transitioning from one area to the next.

Expected Results - Characters should be moving on to the next area.

Actual Results - Characters are stuck in a limbo between areas, unable to transition or be played in any way.

Workaround - None to my knowledge.

The skilled, strong penmanship of a disciplined hand follows, in the pages of a journal bound in black leather.

I start this journal with the penning of that which is my name. I was born Dumah, son of Count Olivier Lodhrain de Rembroge, eldest of three and heir to the county. This, if not for the fact that I was conceived in the midst of the civil war by a drunk father wanting to relieve his lust for a different fare than his wife on a Darromar inn wench made camp follower, or near enough an equivalent that semantics lose all importance. To this day, I know not who it was that birthed me, though my father was always wont to cast aspersions on the "ill-bred whore" whenever angered by my childhood musings. And to this day, I still take a perverse satisfaction in remembering the sight of my stepmother's nose upturn and her expression convulse whenever she would lay her eyes on me. Accursed hag.

Through various exploits that I care not for expounding on this first page, I was forced to leave the company of my much more agreeable brothers, Jean and Gavrain, and the family's castle and lands. At the very least, there was the decency of waiting until my coming of age for the effect, and enough of an education that I could survive better than most.

One might have expected life to have been a bit gentler to me, by this point. Then again, if there is one lesson I have learned in my journeys, it is that one should not trust the whims of fate overmuch. I have spent years in mercenary outfits, selling my sword, my back's worth of strength and my brain's worth of wit for hire from Tethyr to Luruar to Dambrath to Thesk and all the lands in between. I was not hoping or expecting to settle any time soon. I was rather enjoying the traveling and the inn wenches, in good Lodhrain tradition. But then, the slavers stroke in the night, almost taking both me and the nuisance called Aria. And a red-robed wizard saw fit to introduce me to the land of slavery par excellence.

I am told, tonight, that leaving (escaping?) from Thay will be close to impossible. Words uttered with a sense of resignation and laissez-faire. It is thus that I am left aghast, looking upon the horizon to the south of this behemoth of a city, the Alamber Sea calling out yet at the same time barring exit. After hearing what I have heard tonight, who would blame me? Thay is a land of nightmare, where factions vie for power and thrash all notions of peace and sustainability, running any chance for a unified and galvanized population to the ground. To work here is an exercise in survival and struggling for sanity.

Not too different from Tethyr in that regard. The Red Wizards and the other political forces seem no different than the dukes and the counts and the sheriffs, slobbering for a chance at attaining favour from the Queen Monarch while sharpening their daggers and milking serpent fangs for venom to slip into their very foodstuffs. The lack of loyalty in this cut-throat land is appalling. And Bane is said to be strong here?

Forgotten, far too easily. Since His death that it has been so, people flocking from His teachings to the Godson or that case of special lunacy named Cyric. Even Myrkul seems to be in better a shape, worshipped sensibly here in the City of a Thousand Temples. I have been here for a few weeks, now, and what my eyes take note of is a land without direction, without strong and capable leadership. Perhaps fate was not so capricious after all, for leading me here? I cannot leave, after all. Nor can Aria.

I pledged my service to Lord Tyrant Hektor two days ago. Faith lain dormant calls to me once more. Little do I care if Bane answers not - his ideals I hold in my heart as true, and if loyalists remain, I will be counted among them. I will be one of His Hounds, a blackguard in His name. And I will prove to this diseased land that true tyrants never truly die.

Does a PC need to reset his recall stone every time he logs in? I had set the one Neville finagled to recall him to a spot by Caravanserai, but when flanked by shadows in the crypt and suddenly drained of about ten str points (a very harsh thing for a level 4) I activated it and rather than bringing him to the caravanserai, it simply said that that was now my spot. After re-spawning (again) I brought the stone outside the crypt and tested it. It brought me back into the crypt... Is there a glitch in that it deleted the formerly saved location? and if so is there some way to change a location once it sets in a bad area?

I've also noticed the zombie warriors (who had attack bonuses of +8 and +6 respectively as I recall) only profferred 1 xp each to a PC who had basically the same attack bonus at level 4. Seems a bit unbalanced in that they were much tougher then the average dire rat.

Incidentally since there are few players on the server at any given time, (mostly it's empty) is there an area where a low level non-magic-heaped character can go where they have a chance at surviving alone?
Not meaning disrespect, I like this server, but it sometimes seems like there's noone to perty with and for a solo romp it's a death trap.

Before you read this thread, please note that I have done exactly the same.

During the event last night and numerous others through out my time here on Thay. I have noticed that a lot of characters have eyes in the back of their head.

What I mean by this is, that if a man walks some distance behind them. Some characters instantly notice them or see them, as if they were in front of them.

I personally find this wrong, and think that people should stop doing it. Of course if someone walks behind you in plate armor or very close you would hear or smell them.
